There are growing opportunities for Forest School leaders to work with young people with Mental Health Needs. It is estimated that 1 in 6 children aged 5-16 have a mental health problem and In the last three years, the likelihood of young people having a mental health problem has increased by 50%.
The Certified Outdoor Mental Health Practitioner Programme trains Forest School Leaders to provide Mental Health and Wellbeing Support in the Outdoors.
Once you are Certified, you will be able to deliver a programme of mental health and wellbeing support, using nature as a key therapeutic partner.
