The Certified Outdoor Therapist Programme provides a practical, accredited and insurable pathway into outdoor therapeutic practice.
Designed for qualified therapists and mental health professionals, you'll learn how to safely and ethically deliver therapy outdoors while building on the professional skills you already have.
Throughout the programme you'll learn how to:
Deliver therapy safely and ethically outdoors
Manage confidentiality, boundaries and risk
Use nature-based therapeutic activities with purpose
Select appropriate outdoor environments
Develop your own outdoor therapy practice
Whether you work in private practice, schools, mental health services or community wellbeing, the programme is designed to help you confidently apply outdoor therapeutic approaches in your own setting.
You'll be taught by a multidisciplinary team including:
Clinical Psychologists
Speech and Language Therapists
Occupational Therapists
Outdoor Therapists
Alongside flexible online learning, the blended programme includes an optional in-person practical day on 10th October, where you'll explore therapeutic activities, develop practical outdoor skills, and build confidence applying your learning in real outdoor environments.
